Accessibility Statement

Our aim

This website has been built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the standard UK public bodies are held to, and we think it is a sensible bar for a firm whose clients frequently include older people and those dealing with bereavement.

What we have done

• Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “skip to main content” link.
• Text and background colours meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text.
• Headings follow a logical order, and landmarks are marked up so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
• The enquiry form has properly associated labels, clear error messages announced to assistive technology, and no time limit.
• Text resizes to 200% without loss of content or function, and the layout reflows to a single column on narrow screens.
• Animation is subtle, and is switched off entirely for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
• Nothing essential depends on colour alone, and there is no content that flashes.
• The site works without JavaScript, including the enquiry form.

Known limitations

We are not aware of any part of this site that fails WCAG 2.2 AA. Two things are worth noting honestly:

• The typography relies on a web font served by Google Fonts. If that request is blocked, the site falls back to a system serif and sans-serif, which changes the appearance but not the legibility.
• Some tables in the legal pages scroll horizontally on very narrow screens. The content is complete either way, but it requires sideways scrolling on a small phone.

Documents we send you

If we send you a document and you need it in another format — large print, plain text, a different colour scheme, or read aloud over the telephone — ask, and we will provide it at no charge.

Telling us about a problem

If you find something on this site you cannot access, please tell us. Email enquiries@assetrecoverylimited.uk with “Accessibility” in the subject line, and include the page address and a description of the difficulty.

We will acknowledge within 5 working days and tell you what we can do and by when. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will offer another way to get you the information or to make your enquiry.

How this site was tested

Testing was carried out on the templates used across the site — the home page, the about page, the contact form and the legal page layout — using keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom to 200%, automated contrast checks, and a screen reader. We retest when we make a significant change.
